Winter changes the mountain
When the famous road shuts, the mountain does not become inaccessible. It becomes quieter, slower, and far more demanding.
We approached the route as a true winter convoy: lower tyre pressures, disciplined spacing, constant radio calls, and a willingness to turn back if conditions shifted.
