SAXONTRAIL
Southern Transylvania
FORTIFIED CHURCHES, ROLLING HILLS, AND ANCIENT FOREST ROADS
The Saxon Trail is our most accessible expedition — three days of gentle off-road driving through the heart of Saxon Transylvania. This is a landscape of rolling hills, medieval fortified churches, and villages that have changed little in 300 years.
You’ll drive farm tracks between UNESCO World Heritage churches, visit villages where Saxon traditions survive, and camp in the orchard of a traditional guesthouse. The driving is easy enough for beginners but the experience is rich enough for seasoned travellers. This is Transylvania at its most picturesque.
- UNESCO fortified churches

- Rolling hill trails
